OG37

The brief entailed that technical components needed to be interconnected, allowing charging by a solar pad while enabling the use of cables and electronic devices. In the design we were inspired by the Mashrabiya; with shell components that are directed to absorb sunlight in the most efficient way possible, while forming the interior volume for the bag.

The design appearance is composed as a protective shell,
a unified modern structure, suitable for the urban dweller, integrated with all of the functional components in a fluid, intuitive way, including designated pockets for a variety of devices that can be easily connected to one another.

This project was done in collaboration with Industrial designer Gilad Davidi as a submission to an open call competition for the design of a solar bag unit system.
