Coronavirus masks DIY videos were produced at home under the initial national lockdown of March 2020.

A group of experts from leading academic institutions was formed by the Ministry of Defense to find solutions for the rapid Coronavirus infectious spread. This was done with the breakout of the epidemic when there was a severe shortage in masks, even for medical teams.

In parallel to making the videos the group was also investigating other preventative DIY measures such as the use of domestic materials for enhancing the anti-viral effect of regular fabrics (lemon-salt and detergents for examples).
